How can we make the turbine type of power-take-off for wave energy converters more resistant to corrosion, more resonant with wave input, and more survivable in extreme sea states?

As many countries around the world seek to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, a more diverse set of energy generation technologies will be necessary. The ocean is a near constant source of energy that is almost entirely unharnessed. We wish to harness renewable ocean energy at the seashore using Wave Energy Converters (WECs). We wish to improve the efficiency and/or the cost effectiveness of WECs during our project.
